Becoming the Villain’s Family - Chapter 269
Chapter 269
Getting rid of the baby?
Right in front of Aria?
‘Is that really okay?’
It was a word spat out in a fit of jealousy, but if it could be done, it seemed like a good idea.
Luca, as if looking for someone who heard its words, quickly turned its head around to survey the surroundings.
Fortunately, there was no one around.
‘Will she be sad if the baby disappears?’
She would be extremely heartbroken.
And due to the loss of the child, Aria might even pour all her attention onto Luca, who remained by her side.
The dragon was only one year old, still a baby. Although it was dissatisfied with its body growing rapidly every day, it was still small and cute.
Maybe Luca could replace Aria’s child.
The thought swelled in its chest.
‘Like before, all the attention will be mine. Aria will find me incredibly adorable.’
Luca knew well what kind of gaze Aria cast upon it.
A gaze of love.
Aria’s clear and pure eyes shone like jewels the moment she looked at Luca.
So clear that even her transparent soul could be seen through.
And soon, it would curve like half-moons, staring as if saying, ‘Where in the world could there be such a lovely creature?’
‘Aria loves me.’
It didn’t hide its overt emotions.
Aria was practically defenseless in front of Luca. As a perceptive dragon, Luca knew that fact better than anyone.
Luca was happy.
Happy to be by Aria’s side every day.
To hear her regular heartbeat and listen to her sweet voice.
‘Mya.’
Even with a seemingly nonsensical remark, Aria would gently respond, ‘Why?’ with a soft smile.
‘But after the baby comes, Noah’s descendants will only be a hindrance…’
Luca flew towards the direction where Aria and Lloyd’s energy could be felt.
It was easy for Luca to sense where they were.
Unpleasant Noah’s energy, divine energy, and a warm energy like spring sunlight were all mixed together.
‘What is this place?’
It was a white room.
Luca peeked inside through the window and examined the interior.
There were small furnishings, not only for Aria but also for Luca.
It was easy to guess.
This was a room for the baby.
‘The baby is so small?’
Luca looked at the cute-sized crib and fluttered the wings on its body. Squeezing its body into that crib would probably shatter it to pieces.
‘What is this thing?’
Luca also examined the object placed near the window.
It looked like something humans wear, like shoes. It was covered in sky-blue fabric with flowers and lace on the front.
‘But it’s even smaller.’
Luca looked down at its own short, stubby hind legs. Compared to that, its feet felt like those of an elephant.
It couldn’t even fit them in.
‘Are the toes round like this too?’
The baby would undoubtedly resemble Aria.
But being so small and round like that?
It would be unbelievably cute.
‘It’s not fair as an opponent…’
Luca recalled the image of a human baby from its mother’s memories.
Moreover, if it looked exactly like Aria’s face…
‘Absolutely not. I’d rather have it resemble Noah’s descendants from head to toe.’
Because then it would be disgustingly creepy.
But no matter how creepy, it was still a human baby.
Luca looked down at its own hands.
The skin was completely different from the typical texture of human skin that is soft and squishy. It had jet-black scales, the claws were excessively sharp. Horns protruded, as did the jaw, tail, and wings.
‘I need to transform into a human appearance.’
Luca raised its head with a cold sweat.
Aria, sitting on the sofa, could be seen from the side. It seemed like she was having a conversation with Noah’s descendant.
‘What are they talking about?’
Luca, already anxious and withering away, couldn’t resist its curiosity. It folded its wings and stood on the window sill, pressing its ears against the window.
“What would be a good name for the baby?”
The word ‘name’ stiffened the dragon.
“By the way, Vincent said so earlier. He came up with 100 names for the baby based on different scenarios.”
“Rejected.”
“Without even listening to it?”
“There’s nothing worth listening to.”
Poor Vincent. Aria sighed as if pitying him.
“Out of a hundred, how many names do you think were sincerely chosen?”
“I think Vincent will be angry if he heard those words now….”
“Well, if he calculated the historical and linguistic meanings of names, he would have surely picked the best one.”
“If you say so.”
I can try to listen. Lloyd added, as if he was reluctantly agreeing to it.
Soon there was the sound of lips meeting briefly and then parting.
“But, Aria, I’d like you to come up with the baby’s name.”
“Me?”
“The baby would be happier with the name you give.”
“How does Lloyd know that?”
“As the baby’s Dad’s authority?”
What’s that?
“Now you’re just saying anything.”
Aria spoke to scold him, but at the same time, she burst into a clear laughter that sounded like wind chimes.
At the sound, the dragon had to take its ears from the window and look back into the room.
“Hey, little one, Dad is selling your name.”
“What can I do? I have to resort to mind reading, waiting ten months for this child to come out.”
“When did you learn that?”
“Starting now.”
“What’s this? It feels like we suddenly became the most foolish people in the world.”
Aria continued to laugh and caress her belly.
“So, what did the baby say now?”
“Hmm.”
Lloyd wrinkled and put on a serious expression.
Then, embracing Aria tightly, he said, “Please tell Dad you love him.”
“I don’t buy it.”
