At the End of the Hidden Greenery - Chapter 84
Jiwoo, who stayed up all night talking to them about trivial things, woke up the next day to the sound of a commotion. There was always someone next to her when she woke up, but today she was alone in bed.
What was the commotion about?
“She hasn’t finished resting yet!”
“I told you—it’s urgent!”
“We’ve waited a long time now!”
She looked out through the round window, and it seemed like several people were gathered together, raising their voices, and arguing.
Looking closely, she saw that it was the other group of people that she had briefly met while crossing from Caranazion to El Ragneil. And they were arguing with Jiwoo’s husbands.
A few familiar faces caught my eye. Callandein, Tevon, and others were quite crowded together, so it was difficult to see them well.
“I don’t need you, so let me talk to her.”
“That’s not even funny.”
“You guys understand that this is more important than anything, right?”
Ah, Jiwoo realized something she had forgotten for a while because she had been busy holding the first night when she saw the desperate people.
They were the ones who went over to Caranazion to treat the sick Elandos. These people thought that it would be enough to just return to their hometown and die without achieving much success.
After witnessing this group’s Elandos being revived, they saw the possibility of getting their own Elandos back and wanted to approach Jiwoo.
When Jiwoo said she would give it a try, her husbands, worried that the other party might harbor ulterior motives, started the first night a little earlier.
And now.
It seemed like another group, impatient with the longer-than-average first night, eventually came.
Actually, just like what Jiwoo had said last night, her husbands were a bit overly worried.
For seven days, Jiwoo interacted with them and accepted them.
No matter how many times she said it was good, they believed that if they made a mistake, Jiwoo would leave them and go find someone else.
It was really a pointless worry.
They must be more desperate to save their Elandos than to tempt her, who is a human.
“Why are you interfering with our honeymoon? We have no business with you.”
“There’s an advanced system called divorce, where can we use it?”
N, no.
They looked serious, but Jiwoo’s face turned bright red as she watched.
“You’re trying to make a fool of yourself using Elandos as an excuse!”
“And yet you’re trying to seduce her by selling your body!”
“I saw all the things you guys were trying to do!”
“You wh*re bastards…”
“Who is the wh*re? Come out.”
It looked like it was going to escalate into a real fight, so Jiwoo put on just a coat and went out.
Click. When Jiwoo opened the door and went out, surprisingly, the sound of fighting stopped. The people with good hearing all pricked up their ears and looked this way.
For a moment, Jiwoo felt an eerie feeling and her shoulders trembled. Her words also stuttered.
“Wh, what’s going on?”
As soon as Jiwoo came out, her husbands steadily came towards her and stood by her like knights guarding her, keeping a watchful eye towards the other side.
Among the opponents, the man who had been fighting in the front slowly approached. As he took off his hood, pure white long hair resembling Elandos fell down his shoulders.
His hair was very dazzling in the sunlight. He looked like a holy priest who had just come out of prayer. It was so eye-catching that Jiwoo stared blankly.
“Seo Jiwoo? It’s nice to meet you, even in this situation.”
It was a neat smile and a gentle voice.
When Jiwoo blushed in embarrassment at the completely unexpected situation, the husbands standing next to her opened their eyes and glared at him.
Either way, he held out his hand to Jiwoo. It was a simple request to shake hands.
“My name is Asilion.”
“Ah… hello.”
She thought he would just shake her hand and be done with it, but she was startled when he brushed the back of her hand with his thumb so she took her hand away.
“I heard it through the group’s representative wizard. I heard that in a few days, you will be leaving to treat Elandos in other regions.”
“Has the conversation already come that far?”
Asilion smiled and nodded. The autumn breeze blew this way, tousling his hair. The wind carried his scent, a very sweet mixture of roses and apples.
“If you don’t have any special plans for your journey yet, this Asilion would like to guide you. What do you think?”
“Instead, you want me to go to that area first?”
“Yes, I would appreciate it if you could.”
She said she would discuss this with Helka, but she didn’t expect they would come to her first like this. She didn’t know if she could do whatever she wanted.
While Jiwoo was thinking, he spoke again.
“I heard this is your first time at El Ragneil. There are probably many things you have never experienced… yet. I can help you make good choices in the future.”
“What?”
Isn’t that something Helka can do even if it doesn’t have to be left to another group?
As Jiwoo was thinking innocently, he added one more word.
“The time in El Ragneil is eternal. I don’t think it’s a matter you should be making hastily with young children.”
Jiwoo didn’t know, but it was actually an indirect rebuke to them for being too hasty in getting married. And since the ceremony hadn’t even been held yet, it meant that they could still be one of her options.
However, Jiwoo was a human who had just arrived at El Ragneil. She had only heard that women led the group here, but she had no knowledge of exactly how it worked.
Moreover, she had never dreamed that another group of men could approach her.
‘No way… I’m now…?’
As Jiwoo, who was not without a sense, understood what he meant, her face grew redder.
Jiwoo, embarrassed, shook her head and looked back. It was a look that told them to say something, but the husbands did not come forward to express their dissatisfaction or express their opinion since it was a matter for Jiwoo to deliberate.
She was rather embarrassed because they had the attitude that it was completely her choice.
“Uh, that…”
When Jiwoo opened her mouth to say something.
Familiar people were walking from afar. There were three people, including Enciertes, and two of them seemed to have brought Enciertes.
In the middle, Enci, wearing a long coat that fit his body perfectly, stood out even from a distance. He quickly approached with long strides, glanced at the leader of the other group, and stood side by side next to Jiwoo.
Enci glanced at the people in the standoff with an awkward posture, then looked troubled and pressed his hands to his temples. After recovering from his illness, he preferred to wear black gloves rather than white gloves.
“I was wondering what kind of prank you’re playing…”
Enci’s expression was not very good. A chill ran down his face, as if he was uncomfortable, and his ears drooped down.
“Do you think I look carefree?”
Enci spoke coldly and covered his face with both hands. She thought he was doing it because he was tired and annoyed, but the next moment, he moved his hand and swept his bangs.
Enci neatly finger-combed his hair, making himself look even more handsome.
Asilion and Enciertes faced each other and engaged in a strange war of nerves. Seeing them glaring at each other without saying a word, Jiwoo realized the situation last.
‘Are they competing with their faces now?’
Since they are openly bragging about their looks, they have also prepared countermeasures.
After hesitating between the two handsome men, who were glaring at each other with their mouths closed, not knowing what to do, Jiwoo clung to Enci’s side and crossed her arms.
Hmph.
Enci lifted his chin in victory. Jiwoo barely had to hold back laughing at the majestic appearance.
Enci’s unique scent of mint was mixed with the scent of sweet honey. How do these people hide their emotions when their emotions are so evident?
“Thank you for the offer, but I will discuss it with Helkainis first before making a decision. It’s not that I don’t understand your situation, so I won’t make you wait long.”
Jiwoo looked around at the husbands waiting behind her, and saw Callandein smiling softly among the people, frowning as if they had chewed weeds.
He seemed the most harmless, but somehow it felt like he would be the person to rip that person out of here first.
“Let’s go. We have to prepare.”
“Ah, Seo Jiwoo. I…”
Callan hesitated as he didn’t know he was going to be called, but when Jiwoo pulled his hand, he followed along without complaining any more.
