“I just did it by instinct.”
“Oh my.”
“When we go down to the estate, let’s have tea time often.”
He wanted to do many things with her. Leilia, who also enjoyed being with him, was happy to have this time with him. She smiled as she picked up her teacup and drank.
‘My existence is big to Cassel.’
Her smile hasn’t faded since she realized that. Of course, Cassel hadn’t been neglectful of her before this, but… She had always thought it couldn’t be like this.
“Did something good happen?”
“You got a sword, didn’t you?”
“It seems you’re happy about something other than that.”
Her face flushed under his questioning. She was too embarrassed to be honest with him.
“It’s a secret.”
Cassel’s eyes narrowed at her words. It seemed as if he was tempting her, so Leilia quickly turned her head away.
“Even if you kiss me, I won’t tell you.”
“Then, I suppose we’ll have to do something else.”
“Something else?”
Surely, he wasn’t suggesting they would do it here!
“Leilia, I’m disappointed.”
As he put on a sad face, her heart was unsettled even though she knew it wasn’t sincere. Such an expression was really unfair.
“Really.”
“Leilia is weak against me.”
Given his actions so far, there was no way he wouldn’t know.
“It’s just that it feels nice.”
“Just?”
‘It’s not just that, but…’
“It’s because Cassel is with me.”
As Leilia somewhat evasively explained, Cassel then recalled something that had happened a few days ago and smiled.
“Are you talking about choosing a wife?”
After saying that, he crossed his arms.
“I didn’t think Leilia would care about my past love.”
“When I was the sponsor, I planned to connect you.”
“I would’ve needed a title.”
“You can just buy it.”
He sighed at her words.
“It’s not like that.”
Then, he shook his head.
“Let’s stop talking about the past and have some tea.”
It seemed that he no longer wanted to continue the conversation.
‘Right.’
It must be a heavy topic, so there was no need to persist.
And right now, Cassel’s wife was her.

The carriage slowed down. The moment they entered the estate designated as the Duchy of Balkan, the air seemed to change.
“There are no magic barriers here.”
Where there was a warp, there was a magic barrier, so their absence gave a distinctly different feeling.
Leilia nodded at Cassel’s words and thought it would be a good idea to get to the castle quickly. She felt exhausted from traveling for so long. Naturally, after traveling by carriage for over a week, fatigue had set in.
“We need to install a warp quickly.”
It felt like she wouldn’t have any stamina left if they continued coming back and forth.
“Are you going to install it right away?”
She nodded at his words.
“It’s a task that needs to be started first in order to create and transport magic stone. Once we know the financial status of the estate, I’ll assess the support funds as the leader of the Hyllan Merchants Association.”
First, they needed to find out how much money the estate had. Of course, although they already knew the financial situation was a mess, they needed to understand how serious the situation was. In the meanwhile, before the carriage arrived at the castle, the townspeople were standing along the road. They kept shouting Cassel’s name and praising him.
They were happy that the war hero was here.
“Cassel is very popular.”
Leilia smiled as she looked out from the carriage.
“Stick your head out and wave your hand.”
Cassel did just that.
As the carriage entered the castle, the long, arduous journey had finally come to an end. Arriving at the Duchy of Balkan estate, Leilia stretched and stepped out of the carriage with Cassel. She was greeted by a woman with long black hair neatly tied up.
“Your Excellency the Duke, Madam, welcome!”
The woman, who appeared to be in her late thirties, bowed her head as she looked at Cassel and Leilia.
“My name is Gaen. Since the previous Duke passed away, I’ve been managing this place under the orders of the imperial family.”
“What did you originally do?”
Gaen answered Leilia’s question without missing a beat.
“I was a butler.”
“I see. Then, you must know what we need to do first?”
Gaen quickly bowed her head and replied.
“I’ve already organized the ledgers and placed them in the office.”
Cassel nodded in response. It seemed that Gaen wasn’t only good at her job but also very perceptive.
“Are the rooms for the subordinates ready?”
“That has all been taken care of as well.”
She was perfect.
Both Cassel and Leilia were impressed with Gaen.
“Go to your respective rooms and rest.”
After giving the order to his subordinates, Cassel followed Gaen to the Duke’s office. Of course, Leilia also took Lucis, who was trying to rest, to the office.
