Chapter 33.2
The Balkan territory was given to a prince who had participated in a war long ago and survived to become a duke. Since the ties were severed, it’s currently managed by the imperial family, but despite its vastness, it wasn’t a proper territory. There were no knights, the castle needed repairs, and there were no warp gates, making it inconvenient to travel to and from.
In addition, installing warp gates required a considerable amount of money, which the territory didn’t have.
“I’m upset that Cassel received that territory.”
He risked his life to fight for the country.
However, he tilted his head at her words.
“I’m fine. There won’t be any talk of divorce in the future, right?”
He then gazed at her.
“Leilia.”
He called her name softly. As he pressed his finger against her lips as if craving something, her lips grew hot where he touched them.
“May I?”
When she nodded, he pulled her closer and pressed his lips to hers.
“The eyes that the princes look at you.”
She had told him how the princes persistently demanded that she become a mistress. He was still conscious of it.
As his hot tongue entered her mouth, it quenched her thirsty throat with moisture and affection. She could feel his yearning as his hot breath came and went.
“Cassel.”
In response to her delicate words, he delved deeper into Leilia’s lips.
The rough kiss continued until they arrived home.

After teatime ended, Leshulean entered the Emperor’s office with Chelias before he slammed the desk and shouted.
“Why does he still choose Leilia even if he was given such a place as a territory?!”
He couldn’t understand Cassel’s choice.
“He’s unwavering.”
Chelias smiled as he recalled the first time he met Cassel.
“From the beginning, there was no one else he wanted except Lady Leilia.”
“Everyone changes!”
“He doesn’t seem to change.”
Chelias nodded as he continued his words to the Emperor.
“The other princes seemed relieved that His Highness Cassel had obtained the Balkan region.”
It was difficult to establish influence in the Balkan region.
If this fact were to be known to the outside world, it might be difficult for the Emperor to avoid criticism. After all, while it was once a glorious place in the past, it had now become known as a dismal place. This fact was even more pronounced as it remained undeveloped.
“Nevertheless, it’s not a bad place to live modestly. There’s plenty of land for farming.”
However, the transportation wasn’t exactly convenient for farming, let alone selling produce since you would’ve to navigate through rough terrain. Furthermore, building a warp was out of the question due to its expensive cost.
Leshulean glanced at Chelias upon hearing his words.
“Are you mocking me?”
“I wouldn’t dare.”
“Anyway, that d*mn stubbornness of his! He could just live comfortably!”
The Emperor shouted before finally sighing.
“In the end, I won.”
Leshulean’s expression became even more contorted at Chelias’s words.
〈 I’m going to make Cassel divorce. 〉
〈 I’m sure he’ll likely oppose? 〉
〈 Want to make a bet? 〉
〈 Of course. 〉
Chelias had expected something like this before the divorce papers were sent to Leilia. The Emperor, feeling a headache coming on, pressed his temple with his fingers.
“Isn’t Cassel too stubborn?”
He thought of Cassel, who blindly only wanted Leilia.
“You’ll have to acknowledge Lady Leilia since you can’t abandon His Highness Cassel.”
“I suppose so.”
Since Cassel wouldn’t break his stubbornness like this, he eventually had to accept Leilia.
“Send a letter of reconciliation.”
“I can’t do that.”
“We’re making a deal under the guise of sending reconciliation. Isn’t there something Lady Leilia might need?”
Chelias’s words were right.
“So, it comes to this in the end.”
Leshulean sighed.
“He’s truly my son, but it’s strange.”
He muttered this while looking at Chelias. It was because Chelias was also known for being a faithful husband.
“I think he’s similar to you.”
“Is that so?”
“Perhaps you’ve caught a liking of him?”
He shrugged at Leshulean’s words.
“I won’t deny it.”
“Though Cassel becoming emperor is out of the question.”
Chelias smirked at Leshulean’s assertion.
“Isn’t that something we’ll have to see through to the end?”
“Chelias, your ambition is great. Choose another prince.”
Leshulean advised him.
“Don’t get deeply entangled. My sons aren’t good-natured.”
“I know.”
He knew that Leshulean was saying this out of concern for him. Chelias smiled and lowered her head.
