Evening arrived.
Leilia and Cassel walked along the beach holding hands. As the evening sunset, the wind blew briskly. Her hair fluttered, and Cassel’s hair moved as well.
“The evening sunset resembles Cassel’s eyes.”
At her words, his red eyes turned toward her.
“No, Cassel’s eyes are more beautiful.”
Leilia corrected.
“Really.”
Cassel’s expression hardened.
“Are you trying to tempt me here?”
“It’s not tempting.”
“If that’s not tempting, then what is it?”
He pulled her as she denied into his arms. As the sound of waves echoed, the serene sounds turned into music.
She could hear his heartbeat.
“Leilia, were you expecting a shortage of magic stones?”
At his question, Leilia recalled that time.
Cassel originally didn’t use magic, even at the academy. Even though he was a magic swordsman, he kept it a secret from the outside world. It was only when she introduced him to his magical teacher that she realized this. He was also given a gift of the highest quality magic stones so that he could use magic.
It was later discovered that he could use magic on the battlefield, and Lisseltz, who was in charge of the knights’ supplies, reduced the allocation of magic stones to his knights. So as a result, Cassel’s knights were unable to use magic, and that was when Leilia sponsored the magic stones.
He was talking about those days.
“Of course.”
She nodded in his arms.
“At that time, I wanted to return to the capital.”
“Because you’re afraid of war?”
“No.”
As he shook his head, he gazed at her intensely.
“Let’s go back to the mansion.”
His eyes grew hot.
Seeing that, Leilia didn’t know what to do next as she felt her heart racing.
To be embraced by him…
Nothing else filled the emptiness in her heart as much as that did.

Upon returning to the room, they took a bath together. Cassel shivered as he joined her in her bathtub.
“I wanted to run away from the battlefield and do this with you.”
Becoming one with him, her mind became hazy. He kept whispering to her as if telling her to remember and imprint that his heart felt the same. Then, after coming out of the bathroom, he took her to bed again. While moonlight streamed through the window, sounds of excitement could be heard. Leilia knew that these were the sounds she was making.
A passionate ardent unfolded.
“I missed you.”
He expressed his feelings.
“Cassel…!”
“Leilia!”
They called out to each other, longing and ardently.
He sought after her like a madman, losing the reason he had maintained and refused to let her go as he kept her in the mansion. Similarly, Leilia was also unable to come to her senses when the long affair ended either. As the love affair and pleasure continued, the warmth and everything she felt from the man she loved permeated her heart.
He pulled her into an embrace without a word.
“Did you miss me?”
Cassel nodded in response to her words.
“I missed my wife.”
Leilia nodded.
She was full of contentment, and her heart became tranquil.
“Stay by my side.”
He whispered softly.
“Like this for the rest of my life.”
Although she should have responded, drowsiness overwhelmed her.
Leilia nodded and closed her eyes.
It seemed like he was looking at her at the end, but she couldn’t remember it exactly.
And so, they coveted each other as if they were longing for each other while traveling. Inside the returning carriage, Leilia rested her head on Cassel’s shoulder as he tenderly caressed her.
Happiness didn’t seem far away.
‘There is no divorce.’
She wished they wouldn’t get a divorce like he said. If divorce papers arrived next time, it didn’t seem like she wouldn’t be able to sign them all at once like she did before.
