After I Died, He Died After Me Too - Chapter 25
Chapter 13.1
“Lady Astri. Didn’t you confidently say that you could refuse me? But right now, it looks like you’re about to kneel and open your mouth to receive my pheromones at any moment.”
“Hhng, haah…”
He was an S-class Esper. Who else could emit such strong pheromones?
Bianca bit her lip firmly and caught her breath.
“The b*stards swarming outside have probably already imagined shoving themselves between your legs just from seeing you. In order to make you theirs, they would’ve taken you by force without caring about your opinion, losing their reason like beasts.”
“That’s, that’s not true.”
Bianca recalled when she was an Esper. She had never taken a guide by force. Even if she had to imprint, she wouldn’t have done so.
“If it were me, I would never do that.”
She raised her head and looked at him with unwavering eyes. Even as her mind was becoming hazy, she held on tenaciously. She could feel her face burning from the liquid trickling down between her legs, but she forced herself to ignore it.
“…Right. If it’s you, I suppose you wouldn’t.”
Thud.
All of a sudden, a vial fell at her feet.
Bianca bent down, picked it up, and took out the pill. Just as she managed to steady her trembling hands and was about to put it in her mouth, his voice rang out.
“I hope you haven’t forgotten. One pill per day. The amount of medicine you’re given is fixed.”
At his words, she couldn’t take the pill and clenched her fist tightly. The effect of the sedative wouldn’t last long, and her symptoms had only surfaced because of his pheromones.
‘Not now.’
She had to endure until he withdrew his pheromones.
Even as tears streamed down her cheeks, making a mess of her face, she bit her lip tightly and endured the pain that felt like her entire body was burning. In the meanwhile, Dexter stood silently, watching her. He acted as if he was trying to see how long she could endure it.
Humiliation? No, it was overwhelming misery that swept over her.
Her grip on the vial tightened.
“Lady Astri. Are you still confident that you can refuse? If so, I can throw you into a place swarming with beasts anytime.”
Bianca couldn’t answer this time.
It was because she realized that as long as her body wasn’t whole, she couldn’t be certain of anything.
The pheromones that had been weighing down on her body gradually weakened. As the suffocating air that felt like it was choking her disappeared, she gasped for breath, desperately inhaling oxygen.
“Huk, huuhk.”
As her senses slowly returned, she barely managed to lift her hunched-over body and collapsed into a chair, completely exhausted. Her legs were trembling so much that she could no longer stand.
As a Guide, even if she didn’t willingly guide an Esper, she could still be violated by force.
As soon as she was able to think clearly, her mind began to race.
‘…Violated by force?’
The very thought caused her entire body to stiffen. She had never considered such a possibility before. In fact, she had never deeply thought about what a Guide truly meant to an Esper.
In retrospect, it was the same reason she was ostracized by others when she was an Esper. Espers were obsessed with Guides in order to survive. Some even confined their Guides, preventing them from talking to others in order to monopolize them. To many, a Guide was nothing more than a tool to gain energy and prevent their rampages.
Bianca hated that strange relationship. The mention of being violated by force reminded her of something he had said before.
“Concentrate. Otherwise, you’ll experience something you don’t want to.”
‘…What does that mean?’
Since she didn’t know much, it was difficult for her to understand what he was saying. She wondered why Guides were so afraid of Espers and why they couldn’t think of escaping from them.
“Your Highness, may I ask what you meant when you said, ‘You might experience something you don’t want to’ back then?”
“I thought I gave you enough warning then.”
Whenever she met his red eyes, she felt like she should avoid them, but she couldn’t. The fleeting hint of longing that she glimpsed beyond those eyes always made her avert her gaze a moment too late.
Even so, his gaze remained fixed on her. She knew that, too.
The warning he spoke of must have referred to the pain that had been coursing through her body, albeit briefly, a while ago. It had been a short moment, yet the memory of that pain resurfaced vividly for her. Instinctively, her body tensed, but she didn’t want to be frightened and run away again. Just because she didn’t know didn’t mean she could continue living in ignorance.
Bianca turned her head once more to meet his gaze.
